Victoria Plum Designs was established in 2005 by Victoria Cox.
Victoria’s love of crafts started at a very young age, having been inspired by her late Grandmother Bronnie who was always painting, sewing and stuffing teddy bears!
During a visit to a craft fair in 2004, Victoria watched a pyrography demonstration and soon after purchased her first machine. She began to engrave her first items, starting with a personalised stool for her daughter.
Fast forward 15 years, 8 ‘high mileage’ pyrography machines and the launch of Victoria Plum Designs (derived from Victoria’s favourite childhood character); Victoria now engraves and paints a variety of personalised stools and personalised chairs, as well as a selection of unique personalised toys and gifts.
The bespoke beech wood stools and chairs are hand made in England by specialist craftsman Thomas who makes each piece by hand in his farm workshop before delivering them to Victoria to personalise. All pieces are completed in Victoria’s studio on the edge of the beautiful North Pennines mountain range.
Victoria lives at home with her husband Mark, daughter Emilia, son Xander, Winston the Goldendoodle and furry felines Willow and Wilfred. Xander, 6 (pictured) is Chief Product Tester and he is currently in training to further develop his role. If you have just ordered one of our items then there’s a good chance he’ll be cutting your address label and fastening your box!
